The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Computer Education (CMSCE) invites
applications for non-credit part time instructors. We seek qualified
instructors who can contribute to the university's educational mission.
Successful candidates will instruct/co-instruct on a wide variety of topics in
the fields of STEM, STEAM, Makerspace education, coding and application
development, specialized certificate programs/workshops, summer camps, as well
as the demand for hybrid and fully online courses. Applicant's core knowledge
should include, but is not limited to, any concentration falling under
science, mathematics, computer science, technology, engineering, education, or
related fields. Specialization in computer science, coding, app development,
educational gaming, and or extended reality (AR/VR) preferred.
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
Instructing/co-instructing curricula for K-12, higher education (e.g.,
graduate or undergraduate), which will include traditional lecture,
hybrid, and/or fully online courses (e.g., transitional from traditional
lecture to hybrid course) and summer camps for K-12 students and/or
Preparing course materials (i.e., syllabi, presentations, hand-outs,
reading materials, videos, etc.), in multiple variations for use in both
traditional lectures and online platforms/technology
Provide constructive feedback to participants
Practice innovative educational methodology

Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in a related field and/or relevant industry experience is
required; doctorate degrees are preferred. Prior teaching experience at the
graduate level is preferred.
Also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Individual will have knowledge of classroom management, adult learning, and
effective communication/facilitation techniques. We are an inclusive learning

Success in this position will be measured through workshop enrollment
attendance, evaluations, and participant engagement.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be willing to travel since workshops are offered throughout New Jersey.
