The Information Technology Department at St. Ambrose University has an immediate opening for an individual to maintain high availability system infrastructures, services, and servers. The individual is responsible for maintaining, deploying, monitoring and securing the software and hardware that comprises the network infrastructure including Vsphere, Security Certificates, DHCP, DNS, SAN (NetApp, HPE), VMware, Cisco UCS, Microsoft Servers. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and/or six years of relevant experience with preference given for a degree in the Computer Science field and security experience in an academic environment. Qualified candidates must have 6+ years' experience (or equivalent) managing: Cisco LAN & WAN systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10,Microsoft Server 2016 and up, Mac OS in a Windows environment, Virtual Server Environments, and supporting VMware. Candidate will be expected to maintain related system hardware and virtual environments. Qualified candidates must have an excellent interpersonal style as well as superior presentation, written and oral communication skills and maintain accurate records. Must demonstrate reliability, ethics, positive attitude, technical proficiency and interact well in a team environment while managing multiple competing priorities and diverse tasks. Must be available to work during scheduled maintenance times, evening and weekend hours as necessary, possess strong customer service, analytical and project management skills as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly is a necessity.
