INSTITUTE FOR INNOVATION, TRANSLATION AND POLICY RESEARCH (ITPR)
The Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research (ITPR) is set out with the vision to support the University in pioneering innovation, technology translation and development, as well as innovation policy research. With the mission to drive strategic alliances, collaborations, multidisciplinary research and development and their applications, ITRP consists of three sections, namely Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Technology Translation, and Policy Research, which will provide all-rounded business development, scientific, and policy research support for the University to respond to the challenges and opportunities worldwide and also specifically under the aegis of the Hong Kong SAR Government's top policy priority on innovation and technology development.
Multimedia Designer (PR0211/22-23)
Position Description Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Section or his / her delegate, the candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic alliance, marketing and activities to achieve the objectives of ITPR.
Responsibilities - To design and create marketing collaterals for print and digital uses, and animate artwork from concept to production, including the Institute's branding, social media and website content, multimedia projects, other printed and electronic materials for presentations and activities, etc.; - To develop creative concept and art direction to boost the Institute's brand awareness and promotion campaigns through printed, social media platforms and digital channels; - To conduct photo and video shooting, and edit for promotion and marketing materials; - To assist in managing website and social media; - To provide support in various events and marketing activities of the Institute and the University; and - To coordinate and provide various support as necessary with other members of the ITPR to achieve the overall mission of the University.
Requirements - A recognised degree/diploma/certificate in Art / Web / Graphic Design / Creative Multi-media or a related discipline; - At least 5 years of post-qualification work experience in multimedia design, development, and graphic design; - Well versed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash; Windows literate; and preferably with good knowledge in After Effects, ActionScript, HTML and CSS; - Equips with skills and experience in social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube), photo-shooting and video production; - A passionate and dynamic individual who possesses a strong aesthetic sense and creativity, attentive to details, and is a self-starter with ability to work under pressure; and - A good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese with good communication skills.
The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years. Re- appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
