A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU- MOSDOH) is seeking an exempt Director – Integrated Community Service Partnerships (ICSP) at the St. Louis Dental Center. The position reports to the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Advanced Dental Education. The Director - ICSP is responsible for developing and directing modules, projects, seminars, and community health center rotation opportunities related to the Integrated Community Service Partnerships program. The position is 80% administration and 20% faculty. The faculty portion includes instructing for the Integrated Community Service Partnerships.

Major Job Duties

  • Develop collaborations with community health centers including Indian service clinics, when applicable, in order to develop meaningful rotation opportunities for D4 students
  • Develop and manage affiliation agreements with ICSP partner sites and seek legal consultation as necessary to develop affiliations
  • Coordinate and manage D4 student rotations at community health centers
  • Conduct debriefing meetings with D4 students following return from each rotation to track student experiences and rotation related parameters
  • Continuously evaluate the ICSP program and didactic content related to ICSP and make recommendations as necessary for changes to the program at large and the didactic content related to it
  • Serve as liaison between the ICSP and adjunct faculty and ATSU-MOSDOH regarding student conduct and professionalism Conduct site visits to ICSP partner sites as necessary

  • Train and calibrate ICSP site adjunct faculty on student clinical assessment and use of E-Value

  • Contribute to the development of Commission on Dental Accreditation documents
  • Evaluate student performance at ICSP rotations, community involvement, and professionalism
  • Direct activities with community partners for student involvement in community activities
  • Develop and manage affiliation agreements, supervision requirements, and insurance coverage for community projects
  • Direct and mentor students in the development of public health concepts and implementation of community projects
  • Guide students and serve as a resource for development, execution, completion, and evaluation of student projects
  • Develop and maintain a database for Dentistry in the Community activities and outcomes
  • Maintain community project files with progress notes, progress reporting schedules, and student credit
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of DIC to fulfill MOSDOH's community project and contribute to additional MOSDOH and ATSU community projects and events
  • Contribute to relevant MOSDOH and ATSU committees
  • Represent ATSU MOSDOH and Dentistry in the Community by presenting and/or attending at local/regional/national conferences
  • Collaborate with other ATSU schools to create interprofessional/interdisciplinary learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with Institutional Advancement and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging to implement University policies within Dentistry in the Community
  • Maintain professional and organization customs and enforce ethical practices among employees
  • Participate in research as appropriate
  • Work with the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Vice Dean of Clinical Operations and Advanced Dental Education, and clinical faculty as needed for streamlining ICSP program

  • Skills/Requirements

  • Masters degree in Education, Public Health, or Health related field
  • Dental background desirable but not required

  • Public Health background

  • Knowledge of administration, leadership, strategic planning, policy development, and collaboration

  • Knowledge of development and implementation of new programs
