  • The focus is on studying and optimizing modern error correcting codes and robust sensing for emerging memories. In emerging memory technologies (specifically, MTX and HRAM), there is the need to design new short codes that are competitive and can outperform BCH codes and LDPC codes in terms of complexity, rate performance, and latency. Possible candidate solutions are Polar codes and PAC codes. The challenge is to design robust and rate adaptive Polar codes that can perform well also in the presence of memory aging.
