Job Title: Eagle Outlet Merchandising Assistant
Reports to: Eagle Outlet, CPO and Purchasing Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, 10-month (44 week) position
Job Purpose:
The Eagle Outlet Merchandising Assistant (EOMA) will be involved in the selection and display of the merchandise for sale through the Eagle Outlet. The EOMA will be a primary contact for customer service in-store and online. An important part of the position is supporting the ministry and mission of the University and advancing the academic excellence and spiritual vitality of our University and students. Each employee plays an important role in the development of the Christian faith in our students.
Nature of Duties:
• Oversee the daily operation of the Eagle Outlet to include providing exceptional customer service. • Accurately operate cash register. • Create, plan, and supervise Eagle Outlet store pop-ups at campus events. • Build and maintain social media presence. • Maintain proper inventory levels for Eagle Outlet merchandise. • Keep Eagle Outlet website up to date and fulfill orders in a timely manner. • Assist with product design, selection, and ordering. • Design and alter display regularly. • Accurately process and prepares merchandise. • Keep Eagle Outlet sales floor properly stocked and clean. • Train and supervise student workers. • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The EOMA will need to be able to lift 25-75 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time on-site position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Potential exists to work some evenings and weekends. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
Qualifications:
• High school education or equivalent. • Experience in retail sales and merchandising preferred. • Money handling experience preferred. • Knowledge of Social Media platforms. • A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University's theological position, lifestyle standards and mission.
