Doane University , with locations in Crete, Lincoln, and Omaha, Nebraska,
is looking for a Mental Health Counselor to provide counseling services
for Doane University undergraduate students on our residential campus in
Crete, Nebraska.
In this role, you will be the lead person for mental health outreach and
training activities for students, faculty and staff on the residential campus.
You will work with the Project Coordinator of the SAMHSA grant to fulfill the
goals and requirements of the grant and you will also spend time developing
and implementing mental health outreach and training activities. To fulfill
outreach and training activities on the residential campus, you will
coordinate with an existing Mental Health Counselor.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in mental health education and training
Excellent communication, collaboration and counseling skills
Master's degree in Mental Health-related field
Licensed (or Provisional) Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) with state
of Nebraska or qualified to obtain licensure (or equivalent credential)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education
Experience in alcohol and drug abuse counseling
Experience in crisis intervention
Licensed (or Provisional) Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with the
state of Nebraska or qualified to obtain licensure.
