Position Title: Men's Basketball - Student Athlete Development Intern Position Type: Temp/Intern Location: Villanova, PA Work Schedule: temporary Approximate Number of Hours per Week 35 Department: 736-Basketball - Men Position Summary:

This position shall assist Head Coach and coaching Staff with internal matters pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the men's basketball program. This position shall be responsible for enhancing all aspects of player development in the classroom and in the community for the Villanova Men's Basketball Program including, but not limited to the duties and responsibilities outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to Day Operations: 1. Foster and enhance relationships within the athletic department and university communities that will continue to align the men's basketball program with the core values of Villanova University & the Athletic Department.

Player Development: 1. Oversee the assessment for the quality of life of student athletes and in conjunction with head coach, assistant coaches and support staff 2. Provide mentoring as needed

Academics: 1. Assist the Academic Support with monitoring the academic accountability of student athletes 2. Encourage positive attitude toward academic responsibilities and personal conduct. 3. Implement class check schedule for all men's basketball student athletes 4. Collaborate with student services staff to enrich the student-athlete experience through Freshmen Life Skills, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Leadership Institute.

Alumni Relations: 1. Assist in Coordinating and Managing Men's Basketball Alumni Network to support long term relationships with program 2. Attend functions and event on behalf of Head Coach and Villanova Basketball Program

Gameday: 1. Work closely with Athletics marketing to assist in the promotion and coordination of the men's basketball program and the annual events. 2. Work with Athletics marketing to assist in the marketing and branding Villanova Basketball. 3. Assist in Managing Villanova Basketball Game Day Operations 4. Assist in Executing Villanova Basketball Game Day Experience for Staff, Donors, Alumni Groups, and Special Guests

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Required.
