A Meldrum Science Center Teaching Assistant is responsible for having strong knowledge of the theory, application and practice of concepts taught within the 100 and/or 200 level course(s) for which they are assigned, and the ability to communicate and explain their knowledge with others. The Teaching Assistant, in coordination with faculty, will attend and help faculty within the course(s) that they are assigned, set-up and break-down laboratory activities or demonstrations associated with the assigned course(s) and potentially help with grading assignments.
Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
B or higher in assigned courses, 3.5 gpa in completed geology coursework

Responsibility Set-up and break-down of laboratory activities and classroom demonstrations using equipment and supplies within the classroom and/or the stockrooms.
