The Mechanical Technician performs routine work and repairs for a variety of mechanical equipment and systems supporting the academic, research, and clinical environments of Midwestern University. This position reports to the Lead Stationary Engineer. The role assists the mechanical engineering team with a variety of work activities to optimize the performance of mechanical products, machinery, and equipment. The hours for this position are Tuesday- Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience with mechanical equipment or an Associates degree in a related field is required. A certification from a technical school or Associates degree in a related field is desired. Must have a valid driver's license.
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel is desired.

The noise level in this environment is moderately loud.
