Responsibilities

In this role you would serve as the manager of the measurement & test equipment operations, ensuring that the equipment used by technicians and engineers are calibrated and fit for purpose. This person will work to maintain and improve our current program capabilities while modernizing the software and processes used.

Core Duties:

  • Prepare and receive items for calibration by external NIST traceable companies: 60%.
  • Support modernization of calibration system software: 10%.
  • Track items in need of calibration, ensure they are calibrated prior to expiration: 25%.
  • Develop and review procedures and policies in support of calibration process 5%.
  • Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Mechanical field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in an experimental or production facility utilizing calibrated measurement and test equipment.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Required Experience:

  • Experience calibrating and using standard off the shelf test equipment:
  • Function Generators
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Bench Power Supplies
  • Digital Volt meters
  • and similar
  • Experience calibrating and using mechanical measurement devices:
  • Torque Wrenches
  • Load cells
  • Digital and analog calipers
  • and similar
  • Experience troubleshooting non functional equipment.
  • Experience selecting equipment for use by personnel.
  • Desired Experience:

  • Software Testing
  • Experience working with developers to improve software.
  • Workflow design

  • Experience developing workflows to explain processes.
  • Policy and procedure development

  • Experience reviewing and improving policies and procedures.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to physically lift, move and pack typical measurement and test equipment.
  • Must be able to staff the calibration office/lab during normal business hours.
