Workplace: The project will be developed at the Advanced Cell Models
Laboratory of the Animal Cell Technology Unit of Instituto de Biologia
Experimental e Tecnológica, under scientific supervision of Catarina Brito.
Fellowship Duration: The fellowship will have a duration of 1 year, possibly
renewed until the end of the project, without prejudice of the maximum limits
foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1st of July 2022.
Stipend: The net salary is 1144.64 Euros per month, according to the
regulations of FCT, I.P.

Social Security is also available, if required.
Eligibility criteria
Selection criteria: The selection of the candidates will be made according to
the following:
MSc degree with a minimum of 18 values – required to be elegible for CV
evaluation;
Curriculum Vitae assessment, according to the admission requirements -
80%.
Motivation letter and language skills – 20%
Curriculum Assessment will be carried out according to the admission
requirements. If the jury so wishes, can proceed with interview for all
candidates who have a Curriculum assessment greater than 8 values (out of
10). In the case of interviews, the final evaluation will consist of 80% of
curriculum evaluation and 20% of the interview evaluation. Applicants who do
not meet the admission requirements described above will not be eligible.

Notification of Results: A list with the order of selection of candidates will
be published in a public and visible place at the Instituto de Biologia
Experimental e Tecnológica (www. ibet.pt), and the selected candidate will be
notified by e-mail.
Timing and Application Format: Applications will be accepted from June 10th
until June 20th 2022.

Curriculum Vitae (CV) and diploma certificate. If the degree or diploma has
been granted by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with
the provisions of Portuguese Decree-Law 341/2007 of October 12th , and any

Scientific Area: Biomedical Research
Specific Requirements
Admission requirements:
Master degree in Molecular Biology or related areas, with a final grade of 18 or higher.
Expertise in cell culture of human origin, including 3D cell culture techniques and handling of primary immune cells.
Experience as an independent user in protein detection techniques, namely flow cytometry and immunofluorescence.
Experience in advanced imaging (confocal or multiphoton fluorescence microscopy) and image analysis.
Experience in single cell RNA-sequencing design and analysis will be strongly valued.
Expertise in oncoimmunology and tumor microenvironment will be valued.
Motivation for applied research.
Proficient use of the English language.
