Midland University is excited to welcome a dynamic, creative, and experienced
Marketing Specialist to our fast-paced, results-driven Marketing &
Communications team!
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting admissions marketing
and communication initiatives that help drive recruitment and enrollment goals
at Midland. The position reports to the Director of Institutional Branding and
Marketing at our Fremont campus.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Marketing and Communications
Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication initiatives,
including but not limited to: brand management, content (print, digital,
email, web) development, drip email campaign management, digital and
print campaigns, web content, and design and presentation materials.
Help create and manage project plans and schedules to ensure that project
goals, objectives, and details are accurately presented.
Using data and surveys, strategically and regularly analyze the
effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives and make
recommendations for enhancements/additions.
Co-manage the budget specific to admissions marketing and communications.
Hire, supervise, and coach work studies
Assist with identifying third-party vendors and work closely with the
Director of Institutional Branding and Marketing to execute and manage
agreements/partnerships.
Work closely with cross-campus partners to identify and address
communication needs in a timely, strategic, and efficient manner.
Create documentation and communication flow mappings for campaigns.
Support the Athletic Department in developing and implementing strategic
marketing and communication initiatives, including brand management,
content (print, digital, email, web) development, and design and
presentation material.
Work collaboratively with marketing teams at the Fremont and Omaha
locations to develop content strategies that align closely with business
objectives and enrollment goals.
Support and actively contribute to achieving greater diversity, inclusion,
and equity at Midland and work effectively with all campus community
members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Communications, English, Advertising/Marketing or
related degree preferred)
3-5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience using multi-channel marketing and communication
strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication and editing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while independently managing
multiple priorities, responsibilities, and projects simultaneously to
achieve successful outcomes.
Understand marketing best practices, current issues and trends, industry
standards, content creation, design, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, Media buying,
web design and UX, social media, photography, videography, and all
relevant technology.
Demonstrated skills in various communication mediums with strong
experience in digital, print, and social media.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in design programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Experience in Higher ed marketing.
Demonstrated commitment to collaborate with campus partners in an effort
to enhance the recruitment and enrollment of graduate and undergraduate
students.
Enthusiasm for staying up to date on higher education trends and
communication strategies.
