Marketing and Alumni Relations Manager
Reports to: Associate Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations
Location: On-site
Position Type: Full-time, 12-months
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range: $75,000 – $81,000

Position Overview
The Marketing and Alumni Relations Manager is a member of the Advancement team
and works with Marketing and Communications colleagues to set the stage for
fundraising and, to a lesser extent, admissions activities. The Manager is
expected to take the lead with respect to marketing data and analytics as well
as provide strong support for marketing campaign design, project management
and execution, and student employee management. Your position is integral to
the Advancement office, helping to keep day-to-day marketing activities on
track.
Sample Responsibilities
Research and Analytics – 25%
Review, synthesize, and share marketplace trends, data, and evidence-
driven models.
Collect and present benchmarking statistics and campaign analytics to
inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, audience
segmentation and prospect targeting.
Provide insights and recommendations for future marketing and
communications campaigns based on results from previous campaigns.
Research analytical tools and software that can improve marketing goals.
Technology and Project Management – 25%
Implement a digital marketing asset management system.
Ensure the project management tool is meeting user needs and make
iterative updates as needed.
Optimize and evolve analytics and SEO tools.
Maintain alumni engagement portal; assist with its implementation.
Act as a liaison between tech support and Advancement team needs
Project Execution – 25%
Maintain the visual brand guidelines for the College and reinforce its
adoption across campus.
Draft campaign briefs and analytics reports.
Update personas and customer journeys.
Provide feedback on department-wide deliverables and outgoing
communications.
Act as the liaison for campus-wide events, which are open to alumni.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Management and Customer Service – 25%
Assist with sourcing, training, and retaining student staffing.
Document, archive, and update department onboarding, marketing, and file
storing processes, turning written learning guides into video tutorials.
Support the Marketing and Communications team to educate and consult with
campus departments about best-practice marketing policies, standards, and
guidelines.
Review student employee project drafts to ensure adherence to branding and
subject matter.
Provide ad hoc support for the Alumni Welcome Center's retail and
marketing efforts.

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, a related discipline, or equivalent
experience.
3+ years of increasing responsibility in marketing at higher education or
non-profit organizations, including supervisory experience.
Demonstrated project management experience at a small business or non-
profit organization.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where differing

Expertise with Google Workspace apps; Wrike project management software;
working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications and Canva.
