We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational leader with a desire to make a difference in education, to join the Scholarship team, and lead all aspects of the service delivery of the administration and disbursement of scholarships.

As Manager, Scholarships you will provide strategic leadership to our passionate team, working with the Team Leader to oversee and lead a team of advisors, responsible for the assessment and award of our scholarships. You will work closely with the marketing team to build up our campaigns and promote the Scholarships we offer at Curtin.

You will be playing an important role in facilitating a positive learning experience for Curtin students. Part of this will include proposing and developing new scholarships with the opportunity to shape the scholarship profile at Curtin; overseeing and managing our sizeable scholarship budget, provision of financial reporting for the Director and making your mark on continuous improvement relating to our policies and procedures. This position will also see you build and maintain strategic networks, participate in working parties, represent the Director at committees and support the team's role within the community at large.

You will bring to the role

  • A relevant degree with extensive knowledge of and experience in undergraduate and postgraduate coursework scholarships.
  • Strong strategic leadership experience in an environment of continuous change with digital capability to support innovative process improvement.
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain an effective customer focussed and efficient team culture.
  • Experience in the use of corporate student information systems (e.g. Student One) and the University Scholarships space is a strong advantage.
  • If you are a creative thinker and leader with a passion for making things better, we want to hear from you!
