    This position manages multiple types of procurement activities daily while assisting the procurement team with issue resolution. Prepares weekly and monthly reports. Participate in University and UT System committees and workgroups as needed.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily procurement activities including, but not limited to; review of all invitations for bid, requests for proposals, evaluation summaries and bid tabs, contracts, terms and conditions, purchase orders, change orders, amendments, vendor on-boarding requests and vendor sanction alerts to ensure compliance of the above.
  • Support, motivate and evaluate annually personnel performance.
  • Oversee, troubleshoot, and resolve issue for procurement team and user related issues in PeopleSoft/UTShare (including year-end rollover process), ASC, BidNet, and Amazon Business. Includes assistance to Disbursements for any payment related issues.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports; including, but not limited to: SB20 transparency, LBB, HUBPO and related HUB support, Cost Savings, GASB 96, new copier leases, new formal solicitations posted, multi-year commitments, Time Clock Plus, and management reporting as requested.
  • Provide outreach to campus via publishing communications, website content, campus announcements, responding to procedural questions/issues from campus users, and hold trainings and/or Town Halls.
  • Participation in State, UT System, UT System Supply Chain Alliance, and University meetings, committees', and work groups via in person (on or off campus) or on virtual media.
  • Provide vendor outreach by hosting and attending trade shows, holding in person or on-line meetings. Work with team and management to resolve vendor issues.
  • Participate in University and UT System committees and workgroups as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years' experience in public procurement or contracting and three years' experience managing personnel and/or project teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer Higher Education experience.
  • State of Texas CTCD and/or CTCM certification. If not certified, must be certified within 18 months of employment.
  • Three or more (3+) years' experience with Procure-to-Pay ERP system such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Jaggaer, Coupa, or other equivalent experience.
