  • About you

    You are an experienced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Project Manager with a focus on innovation and a passion for delivering exceptional service. You are solutions oriented, logical and resilient, and you have a consultative, engaging and transparent approach. You communicate with impact, working collaboratively, motivating others and mobilising influence. You are highly technically proficient, with a detailed knowledge of contemporary ICT information system issues, trends and practices.

    About the role

    Reporting to the Deputy Director: ICT Infrastructure and Cyber Security, you will design and initiate a range of ICT projects, managing hardware and software projects within ISTS and the wider university, and project manage and coordinate the implementation of large software application projects. You will manage the identification, analysis and prioritisation of requirements, and develop work plans and detailed project plans that identify the scope of activities, timelines, resources, risks and communication strategies.

    To be successful you will have

  • Relevant post graduate qualification and experience in Project Management relevant to the role
  • Comprehensive project management skills including the ability to successfully managing multiple ICT systems-based projects of significant scope and complexity simultaneously, including demonstrated ability to manage human and financial resources in a project setting
  • Well developed skills in writing and presenting project proposals, business cases and recommendations for consideration by senior management
  • Comprehensive experience in coordinating the collation of business requirements
  • High level of experience in successfully developing and maintaining constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to elicit and analyse requirements and negotiate and persuade as required
  • Proven experience in leading a team of information technologists, and consultants to provide high quality information systems project delivery in a University or similar environment
  • Detailed knowledge of contemporary ICT information system issues, trends and practices
