Position overview

The mission of Facilities and Services Division (F&S) is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery." The three key portfolios are Infrastructure & Planning, Operations, and Corporate.

The Infrastructure and Planning portfolio has the responsibility for all aspects of the Infrastructure of the ANU in terms of its Engineering, Sustainability, Space Planning, Capital Works delivery and Asset Replacement/Planning. These are delivered in a manner consistent with institutional priorities, and within appropriate legislative and statutory frameworks, ensuring alignment with the Acton Campus Masterplan.

The Environment Management Plan - Manager, under broad direction of the Associate Director - Infrastructure and Planning, will lead a small team that will work with areas across ANU campuses to implement the University's environmental management plan (EMP) and other University environmental sustainability commitments, including streamlining the external reporting. This includes the effective coordination of environmental sustainability pillar leaders, establishing the EMP governance structure, establishing the EMP interface program (ANUgreen or equivalent), overseeing the identified critical environmental projects of the EMP.

The position also requires effective supervision of staff, including coaching, mentoring, skill and career development, feedback on performance and performance management, where required.
