Responsibilities

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will:

  • Collaborate with RNs regarding patients medications, physical status, psychological well being and Plan of Care.
  • Implement and monitor patients detoxification protocols.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders and safe medication administration practices.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications and treatments.
  • Communicate patients concerns, outcomes, needs and status to the nursing team.
  • Demonstrate ability to use various forms of therapeutic communication when interacting with patients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a productive member of the nursing team.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Twelve Step Program.
  • Qualifications

  • Current CA LVN license
  • Current CPR/AED Certification or completed within 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of accredited school for psychiatric technicians
