The Mahajan Lab in the Department of Ophthalmology, at Stanford School of Medicine, is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 1 to perform basic functions and activities involved in defined research projects, and independently conduct and analyze experiments. By contributing to research projects and independently conducting and analyzing experiments, you will join an outstanding team of scientists who are using molecular and structural biology to cure the most complex eye diseases. This position requires someone who is meticulous, rigorous, and highly organized. He/she should have experience with research, ideally will have worked with ophthalmic cellular models before, and conducted assessments of cellular models using molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and/or other approaches. Proficiency in some of the following: ELISA, RNA preparation and sequencing, and quantitative PCR. Computer experience with spreadsheet and word processing applications and mac computers. Experience or willingness to learn basic statistical methods
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree in the related scientific field.
