This new full-time post is available from immediately on a permanent basis.

Summary of the role/position

The MRC Centre for Medical Mycology (MRC CMM; https: // www. exeter.ac.uk/medicalmycology/) wishes to recruit a full-time Experienced Animal Technician (rodents) to work with academic and technical staff in the University's rodent Biological Services Units (BSU). This will include assisting with animal experimentation and monitoring, helping to train students, assistants and colleagues and helping to prepare and submit study plans, risk assessments and SOPs. The post holder will be part of both the MRC CMM and BSU teams whose primary function will be in supporting the operational needs of a multitude of research projects in the MRC CMM, including the day- to-day husbandry of the animals. At all times the post holder should be ensuring adherence to Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act (ASPA) 1986 and support others to do so.
