Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm.

  • Non-traditional work hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the university community.

    Job Summary

    A member of the Stacks Management team within the Access and Discovery department, this position provides extraordinary customer service to UTA faculty, staff, students, and guests in accessing the library's physical collections in all UTA Libraries facilities. May work across departmental lines and hold responsibilities within other departments in the Libraries.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical library materials integrity, including accurate shelf order.
  • Participates in print collection management projects.
  • Processes retrieval requests, shifts, transfers, withdrawals, inventory, and shelf preparation of library physical materials.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other library departments and campus units such as the Resource Delivery unit for faculty resource delivery, graduate retrieval service, document delivery, and Distance Education services, and Acquisitions unit for serials check-in and bindery.
  • Drives University vehicles, including vans, to transfer print materials between facilities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development initiatives to maintain and enhance skills.
  • Engage in cross-departmental strategic, communication and functional task forces within University Libraries.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

  • High School graduation or GED.
  • Two (2) years related experience.
  • Computer literate and technologically adept.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating System and file management.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to learn and process information needed to operate special apps to aid in job duties.
  • Ability to maintain a current Texas Driver's license and clean driving record
