Job Title Library Services and Assessment Manager
Position Summary
We seek a detail-oriented self-starter to manage the library's administrative
office and coordinate library services. Assist the Library Director with
scheduling, reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to emails; answering and
returning phone calls; organizing documents; maintaining records. Coordinate
assessment and strategic planning. This position is the primary purchaser of
general library supplies and tracking operations budget, capable of
cultivating productive working relationships across campus departments,
setting and maintaining library schedules, maintaining policies, and
overseeing library services. Coordinate hiring of library employees and
student workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage general library operations: coordinate staffing, training, staff
development, annual retreat, policies, procedures, and operating schedule.
Monitor, track, and maintain the library budget. Prepare requisitions and
purchase materials and supplies for the library.
Prepare, reconcile, and submit expense reports.
Assistant to the Library Director, coordinating administrative records,
office correspondence, calendars, library department reports, time-off,
and travel requests
Keep the Library Director advised of time-sensitive and priority issues,
ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Promote excellent customer service in the library by supporting staff,
faculty, and student interests.
Coordinate with other University staff as needed; play a vital role in
coordinating with business services, IT, maintenance, housekeeping,
security, supply vendors, facility coordinator, and other campus personnel
as needed.
Coordinate library assessment, strategic planning, accreditation, annual
surveys, memberships, and travel arrangements.
Organize and schedule meetings, including gathering documents and
overseeing the logistics of meetings.
Attend meetings and take notes of discussions; prepare the initial draft
of minutes and summaries.
Support Outreach projects: ensure staff coverage, marketing, supplies
Maintain library records and documents, including confidential and
sensitive information.

Additional or alternative duties as assigned from time to time, including
supporting other departments as assigned by the Director of the library
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college is desired
Experience
At least two years of customer service experience
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with team members
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
