The School of Nursing and Midwifery invites applications for the post of Lecturer in Evidence-Based Healthcare at the University of Galway. This post is a part-time (0.5 FTE), type A, specific purpose contract.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery of the National University of Ireland, Galway is a dynamic, innovative, research-active School with vibrant teaching and research programmes, in the Top 100 of QS World Rankings for 2024. It offers several graduate and post-graduate programs in collaboration with our health service partners. The School is also host to a number of substantial research initiatives, including the HRB-Trials Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN), Evidence Synthesis Ireland (ESI), Cochrane Ireland and The Alliance for Research and Innovation in Wounds. The post is a predominantly teaching contract (60%), with research and administration sharing the remainder. Effective from 1st Sept 2024 (or as near as possible thereafter). This post is being offered as a specific purpose contract to support the substantive post holder undertake a Fellowship.

Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will be predominantly required to contribute to our new online Masters in Evidence-Based Healthcare programme, contributing to all aspects of teaching and associated administration across the programme commensurate with their areas of expertise.

Salary: €61,758 to €98,523 pro rata per annum (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) This appointment will be made on the Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University's Remuneration policy.
