The Department of Global Health at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health is looking for scholars who will contribute to our commitment to engage the city, state, nation and beyond through teaching, research, and service, in consideration of the rich diversity of our campus and city as we prepare our graduates to enter and lead in an increasingly complex world.
The Department is currently seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer whose primary responsibilities will be teaching, mentoring, and helping to assure student success in the department's undergraduate, MPH and MS degree programs. The individual will also help contribute to ongoing evaluation and continuing improvement of these programs. Additional duties may include serving as program director, providing academic advising to students, participating in admissions processes, and other related activities as assigned by the department chair.
The Lecturer appointment is full-time with full benefits, non-tenure track, with an annual contract and the possibility of renewal. Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience. The ideal candidate is a competent and creative public health educator with experience teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Candidates will have experience with administering global health courses and programming along with other relevant practice experience and will have the ability to work collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment. An individual with a background in environmental health is preferred. Candidates must have a Masters degree to be eligible for this faculty position.
