THE ROLE
Macquarie University's growing discipline of Business Analytics seeks a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Business Analytics with scholarly expertise in business analytics, operations research, applied statistics and/or information systems.
The position is open to both domestic and international candidates. Visa arrangements can be made for successful international candidates.
To be successful in the role you will make a strong contribution to research and to teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You may also proactively contribute to the efforts of the Department to enhance its reputation with external audiences.

Selection Criteria
Level B –Lecturer (Assistant Professor)
A PhD (completed or near completion) in business analytics, operations research, information systems or a related business field;
A record of quality research publications in respected outlets in business analytics, data science or related fields;
Engagement, or a plan for engagement, with the wider community in order to further enhance teaching and or research outcomes;
A record of high-quality teaching in business analytics and data science;
Experience with R, Python, or other programming languages
Strong knowledge of SQL and database management
Experience with data visualization tools and platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.)
An ability to develop new approaches to teaching in business analytics, data science including online and digital approaches to the delivery of coursework programs;
Evidence of work as a team player in the delivery of administrative tasks related to teaching and research;
Membership of relevant professional organizations is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
