Job Title LecturerDepartment Philosophy and Humanities - 21550 Pay Grade 1 Job Category Faculty Job Summary
Full-time lecturer in Philosophy, beginning August 15, 2023. Teaching duties will be a 4-4 load of philosophy courses, primarily sections of a course in the General Education Core called Science and the Modern World. The course is intended to introduce predominantly B.S. students in the College of Arts and Sciences to some fundamental concepts in the philosophy of science, while also teaching them to think critically about the ways in which scientific conclusions can be undermined by special interest groups. The contract is renewable but is not a tenure-track position.
