The Accounting Programs are separately accredited by the AACSB since 2015. Our accounting programs includes the BBA, MSPA (fifth year) and MSA (first degree in accounting for non-accounting undergraduates) degrees.

Job Summary

The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) position in Accounting to begin in Fall 2022.

The Lecturer-Accounting position primary responsibilities will be to provide excellent teaching for a three-course load or its equivalence for all academic semesters and to mentor/advise undergraduate and graduate students in the Lubar School of Business to assist them in fulfilling their educational and career goals. Duties also include assisting the Director of Accounting Programs with responsibilities for managing employer relationships including coordination of the accounting careers course and management of internships, analysis and updating of the accounting curriculum, maintaining AACSB accreditation and marketing the accounting programs. Additionally, the selected candidate is expected to maintain AACSB qualifications that commensurate with his/her/their terminal degree. The selected candidate will contribute to the mission of the Lubar School by providing service to the Accounting Area, Lubar School, and the University.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate will hold at minimum, a Master's degree in Accounting from an AACSB accredited university. Required qualifications also include licensed CPA and at least three years' experience in public accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include teaching experience and demonstrated ability to teach Accounting courses at the university level. Preference will be given to candidates who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as evidenced in teaching or comparable evaluations, along with an ability to work with collegiality and collaboratively within the University and business community.
