course delivery in the health professions. Courses in the Faculty provide a

We have a unique opportunity for a Lecturer to teach and undertake research
in the area of nutrition and dietetics with the following key
Deliver student focused learning and teaching to undergraduate and
postgraduate students in nutrition and dietetics.
Conduct digital and face to face seminars, tutorials, workshops, student
field excursions and dietetic placement supervision
Contribute to curriculum innovation and content design
Supervise the program of study of honours students or postgraduate
students engaged in coursework
Undertake nationally competitive and high quality research in
Participate in and act as co or chief investigator in applications for
Disseminate research findings through seminars, workshops and conferences
Contribute to academic service, collegiality and engagement, including
efficient management of internal service roles
Contribute to the development of a collegial and supportive working

We are looking for someone with
A doctoral qualification or undertaking a PhD in a relevant field of
nutrition and dietetics or equivalent.
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with qualifications recognised by
Relevant research and teaching experience in community dietetics and/or
public health nutrition.
Demonstrated high level teaching skill and a demonstrated reflective
approach to teaching delivery.
A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational
practice relevant to nutrition and dietetics and a record of contribution
to scholarship in teaching.
An emerging record of research outputs/creative works in high quality
refereed academic journals/outlets consistent with the discipline.
Demonstrated experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination role.
High level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the
development and supportive working environment
