Lecturer (University Clinical Tutor)

Job description

Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

Applications are invited for this permanent, 0.15 FTE part-time role of University Clinical Tutor for the Medical Imaging programme.

Summary of the role

The main role in this post will be to support the Medical Imaging students whilst they are undertaking their placements. This will include delivering tutorials, pastoral care and liaising with clinical staff. However, there will also be the possibility of some teaching at the University in addition to this including practical sessions. The post holder will be required to travel to the University of Exeter for team days. In addition to this, travel throughout the southwest region to the placement hospitals is an expectation of this post.

Applicants should preferably be Band 6 or above and hold a relevant teaching or mentoring qualification. Experience of working with students in the clinical setting is essential. This role is available as a secondment or University contract for 0.15 FTE which equates to half a day per week visiting students on placement, and one day per month at the University of Exeter.
