The Department of Biology and Biochemistry is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer (Teaching) in evolutionary genetics and evolutionary genomics on a temporary basis (from October 2021 - January 2022) to delivery exceptional teaching and assessment across a range of undergraduate units with an emphasis on evolutionary genetics and evolutionary genomics including computational comparative genomics.

Our teaching consistently receives very high student satisfaction scores in the National Student Survey (NSS). The successful applicant will have a PhD in evolutionary genomics, or in a related subject area with postdoctoral experience in computational comparative genomics.

The Department of Biology & Biochemistry is one of the leading research- intensive Bioscience departments in the UK. It is renowned for its broad range of world-leading and internationally excellent research across the four research themes of Cell and Developmental Biology, Evolution and Biodiversity, Infection and Immunity, and Medical and Industrial Biotechnology.
