We are looking for an outstanding individual to contribute to the delivery of our highly successful Advanced Programmes in Pharmacy Practice and Therapeutics (AP3T) suite of courses. This may be an excellent opportunity for a practicing health professional to explore work in the academic sector.

This post will provide temporary (1 year) cover with a focus specifically on the delivery of the Independent Prescribing (IP) unit but may also be required to contribute to other courses across the department and also support the teaching of other healthcare professionals or with partner organisations. As such we require that applicants themselves are qualified and annotated Independent Prescribers.

The Independent Prescribing unit is highly regarded and delivers high quality teaching of clinical and consultation skills to pharmacists in practice. The successful individual will be keen to combine their expert professional practice with a desire to develop others through the application of their teaching and learning skills. This appointment will work within an experienced team to support the teaching and learning of our postgraduate students across a range of competencies.

The successful individual would be required to cover a range of face to face and online teaching activities, and support assessment, evaluation and pastoral support for students.

This post is a fixed-term, part-time (0.2FTE) role. We welcome applicants who wish to do this as a part-time role, those who wish to maintain a clinical / alternative commitment in their non-University hours or also those who may wish for support in looking for partner organisations to make this post full time.

For more information about the role, please contact Tim Rennie, Director of Taught Postgraduate Programmes (twr32@bath.ac.uk).
