Job description Participating in the teaching programs of the Sociology Department by teaching small-scale courses and working groups at the bachelor and premaster level. The Department offers two Bachelor's programs (Sociologie in Dutch and International Sociology in English), and participates in e.g. the Bachelor's programs of Global Management of Social Issues and Psychology (both in English). In addition, the Department offers a half-year Premaster's program in Sociology (in English).

Qualifications We are looking for an ambitious lecturer with a Master's or PhD degree in Sociology, with fluency in spoken Dutch and English and excellent writing skills in Dutch and English. Affinity and experience with teaching and experience with the coaching of students are highly appreciated.

Terms of Employment Tilburg University is among the top Dutch employers and has an excellent policy concerning terms of employment. The collective employment terms and conditions for Dutch universities will apply. Depending on the candidates' experience, the salary for this position on a full-time basis ranges between € 2.790 and € 4.402 gross per month based on scale 10 of the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) Dutch Universities (not included are various allowances). For this position a one-year contract applies. In the event of proven suitability, the contract may be extended two years. The starting date is as soon as possible, but no later than September 1, 2021.
