    About the Role:

The School of Architecture sits within the School of Engineering and the Built Environment which delivers successful undergraduate, post graduate and degree apprenticeship courses.

This is an exciting time to join us as we are already delivering a successful BA(Hons) Architecture programme and recently added a new MArch programme. You will be an experienced architect interested in teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels whilst improving the School's ties with industrial partners. You be able to bring your commercial and/or professional experience in Architecture practice to enhance the prospects of our students as part of our TEF Gold teaching.

With degree or relevant professional qualification, you will be an ARB/RIBA qualified architect conversant with contemporary and traditional construction technology including environmental standards such as Passivhaus, and have considerable experience designing and supervising the construction of a range of buildings and settings.

Informal enquiries can be made to Professor Maria Vogiatzaki, Head of School of Architecture, [email protected] or Stephen Mugliston, Deputy Head of School of Engineering and the Built Environment [email protected]

We have an agile working culture and offer an extensive range of benefits including a generous holiday entitlement, occupational pension schemes, training and development opportunities, travel to work scheme and a competitive relocation package. Visit our benefits page for full details.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of our staff and students and expect all staff to share this commitment.

We value diversity at ARU and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We have a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
