This exciting role within the School of Creative and Digital Industries is for a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (depending on experience) to deliver on our BA (Hons) Events, Festivals and Venue management and BA (Hons) Music Business programmes. We are particularly looking for talented individuals with experience of digital marketing, event marketing and event management.

Working with a professional, knowledgeable and focused team, you will engage with relevant sectors and contribute to the School's continuing strong reputation as a leader in innovative and career-focused programmes for those who wish to excel in these areas. The role requires someone with knowledge, drive, commitment and a flair for sharing those attributes with our ambitious and highly capable students.

Appointments at Senior Lecturer level will be expected to take on team leadership responsibilities in areas such as curriculum development, course leadership, engagement with external and partner organisations, and recruitment activity.

    Job Title: Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Music and Event Management

    Location: High Wycombe Campus/ Pinewood Studios/ online

    Hours: 1 FTE

    Responsible to: Head of School/ Deputy Head of School for Creative and Digital Industries

    Job Purpose:

    The post-holder will be required to contribute to the following;

  • Contributing to strategic priorities for the School as directed by the HoS and in line with the University's plan.
  • Showing leadership in the development of a sustainable curriculum.
  • Making a contribution to the teaching and learning activities within the School.
  • Leadership in research and/or professional practice in a subject-related field
  • Contributing towards year on year performance improvements to NSS, DHELE and HESA returns for the relevant courses in the School
  • Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

  • To contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate offerings in music and event management and related fields
  • To act as a course leader as directed by the Head of School
  • To support the Head of School in delivery of the School's annual academic plan, budgetary plan, and workload planning requirements.
  • To undertake own research and scholarly activity, in accordance with the University's Research and Enterprise Strategy and demonstrate national recognition in at least one area of the following: applied research, enterprise or professional practice.
  • To collaborate with others across the institution to enable sharing of best practice, and to contribute to the work of School and University Committees as necessary.
  • Any other such reasonable duties as required by the Senior Management Team and Head of School.
