The Department of Art & Design at Staffordshire University has a well-
established reputation for providing an innovative portfolio which includes
Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. We wish to complement our existing,

enthusiastic and motivated candidates seeking to further their career in
We are pleased to announce the recruitment of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in
Surface Pattern and Textile Design to join our recently established department
within the School of Digital, Technologies and Arts. This recruitment is
central to our ambitious expansion plans and hence helping us deliver against
the University's vision and beyond.
The post will require the successful candidate to teach a variety of design
and creative skills on our successful Surface Pattern and Textile Design
course, working with a range of staff within our team and the wider school.
You must be a reliable, creative and resourceful academic with ambition to
undertake recruitment, consultancy and income generating activities as
appropriate to the role.
As an established Lecturer/Senior Lecturer and subject expert in Surface
Pattern and Textile Design (or with excellent industry experience) you will
be expected to contribute to the University's research and scholarly activity
outputs in your subject area. We will also look for you to help shape our
teaching and learning strategies to explicitly enhance the student experience
through the use of digital technology.
