College of Business, Tech. & Engineering Academic Grade 7 / 8 - £36,386 to £53,353 per annum, dependent on experience

We are seeking an outstanding individual to make a contribution to teaching, consultancy and research within the subject area of Smart Computing, IOT and Embedded software programming. You will join a large and vibrant Computing Department that actively engages in teaching, research, and commercial consultancy. Teaching and research in the Department delivers practical knowledge, skills and solutions that meet the needs of employers and society that are consistent with the University's desire to be the leading applied university in the UK.

You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality learning experience to students and contributing to the development of new and exciting courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be expected to be involved in module leadership and delivery, to contribute specialist topics, to supervise dissertations, liaise with industrial partners and to engage in academic and applied research.

As well as the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders e.g. students and external clients from a wide range of backgrounds, you'll need well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to at least one major area of Smart computing. You must also have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience and expertise.
