Teaching – Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to teaching may include but are not limited to: subject matter competence, course design, course presentation, and grading student work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) Faculty position in the Department of Management. This is a nine-month faculty appointment starting Fall 2023. Initial appointment is for 2 years with an opportunity for renewal.
This position is focused on teaching excellence educating a diverse population of students while building a supportive, culturally diverse environment in the classroom. The expected teaching load is four courses per semester (fall and spring), and may include large classes (65-100 students), and delivery methods of face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery using a course management system. Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level in the areas of Management, such as Entrepreneurship, Employment Law, Ethics, Human Resources, International Business, Leadership, Managerial Communications, Organizational Behavior, and/or Strategic Management. Experience in these areas is considered relevant and desirable.
The position additionally includes service responsibilities such as contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes, student advising, other student-centered activities, and faculty governance and committee service to support the mission and priorities of the department, college, and university.

Minimum Experience/Education
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have earned a master's degree or higher in management or a related field. Previous teaching experience in a business school is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a successful record of prior professional business experience (preferably entrepreneurial), and leadership responsibilities.
Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
