About the role
Staffordshire University (Stoke on Trent Campus) has an exciting award portfolio that includes Computer Science and Cyber Security courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, each has a key focus on practical scholarship, industry relevance and employability.
The university is keen to appoint an enthusiastic individual who will contribute to academic development in the area of computer science / cyber security. It is expected that you would have a record of research in the area (or be building one). You would be expected to have worked in delivering subjects to on-campus students, and distance learners. In addition, it is essential that you have a willingness to develop your practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of the following areas of computer science / cyber security - to include AI, cloud computing, network security, programming, ethical hacking, forensic computing, algorithm design, encryption, computer security, and networking. The team of staff you would be joining teach and support the delivery of modules with both a practical and theoretical focus.
You will be student focused, team-oriented and flexible with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills. Recent experience of teaching and assessing in HE in either face to face or distance learning mode is desirable, as is experience of module leadership and development.
