(Level B) $100,933 to $119,391 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation will apply.

Multiple positions available:

2 x full-time, three year fixed-term Lecturer (Level B) positions with the possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance and;

1 x full-time, 12 month fixed-term Lecturer (Level B) position

The School of Psychology is growing and offers undergraduate and postgraduate level education in psychology. Research areas in the school span several core areas of psychological inquiry, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Strengths in the school are in the areas of health and clinical psychology, cognition and brain science, and social and organisational psychology. The school offers an intellectually stimulating environment in which to work in a prestigious and vibrant University community.

The successful candidates will be teaching into School of Psychology courses in areas of their expertise. We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Neuropsychologist able to teach clinical neuropsychology into our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and an academic able to teach qualitative methods, across all program levels.

We are seeking an academic to coordinate courses in the successful Graduate Diploma of Psychology with expertise in qualitative methods for the 12 month fixed term position. This person should have a strong grasp of principles and philosophies, strategies and theories of learning in an online environment, and ability to apply those concepts.

To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD or equivalent higher academic qualification in Psychology.
  • High-level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of staff and students in a cross-disciplinary academic environment and to foster respectful and productive working relationships with staff, students and colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • In addition to the above:

  • To teach into Neuropsychology, you will need to have a Registration as a Psychologist and Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology expertise in qualitative methods.
  • To coordinate GDP courses, you will need evidence of strong grasp of principles and philosophies, strategies and theories of learning in an online environment, and ability to apply those concepts. You will also need expertise in qualitative methods
