About the role
As part of ongoing recruitment to the Games Development Department we are looking to recruit a lecturer or senior lecturer in Games Design. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic new colleagues to join our dynamic, future- focused, and rapidly expanding subject community.

In addition to developing and delivering outstanding teaching and learning you will have the opportunity to contribute towards our ambitious research and enterprise goals. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in video games research. Within this community you will have the opportunity to grow, both academically and artistically while working with a team of dedicated games professionals. You will get the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who will support and encourage your career development. This will include mentorship, research support, and guidance towards achieving HEA fellowship.
The department is part of the wider School of Digital, Technologies and Arts. The school is a highly interdisciplinary environment, bringing together areas as diverse as fine art, fashion, computing, engineering, media, theatre, and various aspects of games production. What brings us together is our commitment to improving people's lives through creativity.
We are looking for experienced candidates who have demonstrable excellent subject knowledge in a number of areas but ideally with a focus on Level Design, Ludology, and the implementation of games in Unreal and Unity.
