Academic Staff Member - Lecturer of Assistant for the Department of Language Training, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

We are looking for an English teacher with experience to help our students improve their language skills. If you have a passion for teaching and are able to motivate and inspire people to achieve their language goals, you are the right person for us.

What will be your job duties?

group teaching of general English (repetition and practice of grammar and general conversation topics at B1 - B2 level)

group teaching of professional English (terminology, professional texts, ppt presentations, professional discussions, etc.) focused on the fields of forestry, landscaping, hunting, furniture design, wood-based construction, wood processing technology and management, etc. according to the specialisation of the field of study (B2 level)

preparation of study materials and tests for teaching and testing of students

occasional translation of general or specialist texts for the needs of the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

What are our requirements?

a university degree in a relevant field (at least a five-year master's degree at a faculty of philosophy or education, or a faculty of forestry or wood science)

previous teaching experience or experience of teaching general and specialist English in a university environment an advantage

native speaker of Czech language

excellent communication skills

PC skills

previous professional or publishing experience an advantage
