Job Title Lecturer of Management and Marketing

The Department of Management and Marketing at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Lecturer beginning August 2022. This is an academic, non-tenured position, and is renewable every 3 years. Application deadline is June 10, 2022.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and building student programs across both management and marketing. The candidate will be responsible for mentoring students and supporting student organizations like AMA Student Chapter, Phi Beta Lambda and CBAT Leadership Academy.

The College of Business and Technology at East Tennessee State University is AACSB accredited. CBAT employs approximately 100 full-time faculty members and serves over 2800 students. Undergraduate concentrations are offered in accounting, computing, digital media, economics and finance, engineering, engineering technology and surveying, management and marketing, and military science, as well as, master's degrees in accountancy, business administration, digital marketing and digital media.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to teach upper level undergraduate courses in management and marketing

Knowledge of management and marketing methods and technologies

Experience teaching in both the classroom and online environments

Required Qualifications

By the time of appointment, candidates must have earned at least a Master's in Marketing or MBA from an AACSB accredited university.

Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching in the following subject matter: Introduction to Business, Written Organizational Communication, Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Sales Force Management.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to mentoring students.

Candidates must have both in-person and online teaching experience at the university level (may consider those with GA and/or Adjunct Teaching experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Strong record of working with and mentoring students in student organizations.

Business experience in management and marketing.

Ability to teach Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory and Development.

Delivery of presentations at academic or professional conferences.
