Description
The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Houston- Victoria is accepting applications for a full-time position in Criminal Justice at the rank of Lecturer.
The position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (4/4) in the Criminal Justice major; advising students; participating in course and program development; performing other duties as assigned by the dean and chair of the Criminal Justice, Political Science, and History department; and performing other related activities as required.
Required qualifications: A doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology or ABD and able to complete a PhD within one year, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and willingness to teach and develop a combination of face-to-face and online courses. Selected candidate must relocate to Victoria, TX.
Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to generalists capable of teaching a wide variety of courses, including Research Methods and Statistics, and who have experience in online education.
