About the role
Staffordshire University is a leading University in the creative industries,
with an exciting portfolio of courses, which comprise of a range of successful
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and is the home of a world class set
of music studios.
The Media and Performance Department is looking for experienced candidates in
Music and Sound Design who have demonstrable excellence in a range of skills
Previous experience of traditional studio craft, in particular studio-
based recording and mixing. Use of Apple Logic and/or Avid Pro Tools.
Additional experience of either sound for other media (games, film, TV)
or music business and law would be beneficial.
Other skills such as composition, performance, harmony and orchestration
or song-writing would be beneficial.
You would be expected to engage with enterprise activity, as well as
developing your individual research and university research profiles. You will
also be expected to contribute to engagement with schools, colleges and
recruitment activities. We ensure the success of our courses through constant
meaningful collaboration with the games industry, which you will be a part of.
You should be qualified to PhD level or have equivalent professional standing
in a relevant subject area.
