About the Role Located in the Faculty of Arts on the lands of the Wurundjeri-Woiwurrung peoples, our Indigenous Studies Program is a vibrant, multidisciplinary hub dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of First Nations peoples and cultures. We equip future generations with insights from Indigenous Knowledges and the skills to tackle contemporary challenges in Australia and beyond.
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Indigenous Studies who is a collegial team member, passionate educator and a distinctive researcher. The ideal candidate will bring original ideas and have the potential to inspire and lead within the Program.
Through your teaching and research, you will have the opportunity to help shape the field, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for all.
This is an opportunity to join a research-led, community-engaged, and globally recognised hub for Indigenous Studies. Your work will play a crucial role in equipping future generations with the capacity to better understand and relate with Indigenous peoples and skills to address challenges facing contemporary Australia.

You have strong organisational skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
