We are seeking a committed and proactive lecturer with expertise in clinical
biochemistry to join our existing Bioscience team and contribute to the
ongoing development of this group.
The Bioscience, Agriculture, Nutrition & Dietetics (BAND) team is part of
the Department of Clinical, Pharmaceutical, and Biological Sciences which
focuses on some of life sciences' most exciting and rapidly evolving
disciplines. The Department is active in research, consultancy and training
with strong links to education and commerce worldwide. The appointed lecturer
will join a friendly, busy, committed and enthusiastic team, benefit from a

professional development and access exciting research opportunities.
An appointment to this role may require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will work within the BAND Subject Group in developing and delivering
existing undergraduate and postgraduate modules on programmes within the
School of Life and Medical Sciences. The teaching contribution is flexible but
will involve teaching immunology principles and virology.
Skills and Experience Required
You will have teaching, professional and/or research experience within
biomedical sciences. Experience in teaching in higher education would be an
advantage. Effective oral and written communication skills and good
interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an Honours Degree in a
bioscience discipline or equivalent level qualification.
