This position is being filled as part of UCC Futures, Food, Microbiome and Health.

UCC Futures is an ambitious new programme of research prioritisation , coupled with an innovative academic recruitment strategy spanning 10 strategically important indicative areas encompassing the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, STEM, Health, Business and Law.

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Global Nutrition in the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences. Evidenced by an impressive research and publication track record, the post-holder will have proven expertise in nutritional epidemiology, dietary surveillance and the factors that influence and threaten global food and nutrition security, preferably with experience in low income settings. In the context of an increased focus on sustainable food systems, innovation to promote healthier diets, prevent malnutrition and enhance nutrition security is a global priority. As an academic requirement for nutritional sciences, as well as public health, the post holder will have the opportunity to strengthen existing capacity within UCC's food systems research focus and benefit from a wide collaborative network.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale: €37,168 - €65,127 (Below the bar, Scale B) / €71,178 - €92,180 (Above the bar, Scale B) / €39,156 - €61,971 (Below the bar, Scale A) / €67,721 - €87,570 (Above the bar, Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
