Lecturer in Geographical Information Systems

College of Social Sciences & Arts Academic Grade 7 - £35,326 to £39,739 per annum dependent on experience (fixed term for 24 months)

Sheffield Hallam University is recruiting Lecturer in Geographical Information Systems. The job will involve teaching GIS, spatial modelling, and quantitative research methods to students on Geography and Environment awards at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

There will be an opportunity to engage in research activity, contributing to the research profile of the Department. You will be required to engage in the administration of relevant courses. You will deliver a challenging and engaging learning experience to our students, and your ability to connect with a wide range of people will enable you to engage with both students and relevant professional environments to promote student learning in a real world context.

You must have a Honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification or experience in a relevant discipline and have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant in Geographical Information Systems. Teaching, training or supervising students is also essential.
