Job Summary
The Department of Finance and Quantitative Methods at the University of Kentucky seeks to hire a full-time lecturer, non-tenure eligible, for a nine- month appointment. Previous teaching experience and Wall Street (or similar) experience is desirable but not required. An MA, MS, MBA, or JD is required (a PhD in Finance (or similar) is desired but not required). The primary job responsibilities include teaching 2-4 courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate level in finance and working with industry partners on programming and placement of our finance students. The number of courses and other assigned duties will be determined by the Chair based on the candidate's experience and areas of expertise. The assignment may be adjusted annually based on needs and performance. The projected start date is August of 2024, and the position will be open until filled.

Department
The Department of Finance is the fastest growing major in the Gatton College of Business and the 4th largest major on the UK campus. To meet this growth, our faculty has grown to 16 full time research faculty and 6 full time lecturers. Programs such as our Wall St. Scholars and Pelissier Scholars have allowed us to place our top students into nationally competitive investment banking, management consulting, and asset management jobs. The finance area at UK has a highly productive core of research-oriented faculty, a vibrant PhD program, and excellent support for research and teaching faculty.
